MSPA Summer Speed camps are all about developing the critical foundations necessary to realize athletic potential.  Success in athletics starts with mechanics.  To be great, we must first learn how to Sprint, run, accelerate and decelerate, change direction, jump, and land with proper form (or mechanics). At MSPA summer camps, athletes learn by doing.  We start with baseline 40 yard Dash, 100m Dash, Vertical Jump, and broad jump.  We then introduce drills designed to produce proper body mechanics.  Athletes who participate in MSPA Speed camps walk away with new skills and a new understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, better performance, and most importantly, a plan that will take them to the next level in their athletic careers.

Our campers learn that sports success comes from hard work and dedication to getting better. They leave with a game plan that they can employ for success.

Intro to Speed - Athletes learn how simple plyometrics training combined with core stability translates to sports performance.

Advanced Lateral movement and Jump training - Athletes will learn proper body mechanics that translate to better performance.  We know that unless your sport is sprinting, all athletes must be able to move laterally and jump.  While this sounds simple, there are very specific ways to train to improve side-to-side movement as well as jumping explosiveness.
